Prospective Students

Our lab is always interested in motivated, curious, and creative students who are passionate about neuroscience, stem cell biology, and regenerative medicine. Our research sits at the intersection of neuroengineering, human stem cell models, and brain repair, and we welcome students who enjoy tackling challenging biological questions using modern experimental technologies.

We are particularly looking for bright, active, and highly motivated graduate students through the Institute of Medical Science (IMS) at the University of Toronto who are excited about interdisciplinary research and eager to learn advanced techniques such as stem cell culture, brain organoid systems, CRISPR functional genomics, single-cell genomics, and neural circuit analysis.

Students in the lab will have opportunities to work on projects related to traumatic brain injury, neural circuit reconstruction, epigenetic memory of trauma, spinal cord repair, and engineered cell therapies for glioblastoma. These projects combine basic discovery science with translational goals and are designed for trainees who want to contribute to the future of regenerative neuroscience.

Prospective students are encouraged to explore the research projects described on this website to learn more about the scientific directions of the lab. Applicants who are enthusiastic about discovery, collaborative research, and developing innovative therapies for neurological diseases are strongly encouraged to get in touch.
